The Tanach, with the evidence built in
This is the complete Hebrew Bible in the Jewish Publication Society translation. Wherever a real archaeological find bears on the text, those words are underlined in gold✦. Hover over them or tap them to see the artifact and what it confirms. From there, Next find takes you to the next underline, so you can tour a whole book’s evidence, and the share button turns the verse into an image.
Each chapter lists its finds under its title, and the chapter picker shows how many finds every book and chapter has. The AA button sets the text size, light or dark, and English, Hebrew, or the two together.
Chapter 3
1After that,I will pour out My spirit on all flesh;Your sons and daughters shall prophesy;Your old men shall dream dreams,And your young men shall see visions.
2I will even pour out My spiritUpon male and female slaves in those days.
3Before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes,I will set portents in the sky and on earth:Blood and fire and pillars of smoke;
4The sun shall turn into darknessAnd the moon into blood.
5But everyone who invokes the name of the LORD shall escape; for there shall be a remnant on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as the LORD promised. Anyone who invokes the LORD will be among the survivors.
