The Tanach, with the evidence built in
This is the complete Hebrew Bible in the Jewish Publication Society translation. Wherever a real archaeological find bears on the text, those words are underlined in gold✦. Hover over them or tap them to see the artifact and what it confirms. From there, Next find takes you to the next underline, so you can tour a whole book’s evidence, and the share button turns the verse into an image.
Each chapter lists its finds under its title, and the chapter picker shows how many finds every book and chapter has. The AA button sets the text size, light or dark, and English, Hebrew, or the two together.
Psalm 11
1For the leader. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge;how can you say to me,“Take to the hills like a bird!
2For see, the wicked bend the bow, they set their arrow on the stringto shoot from the shadows at the upright.
3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous man do?”
4The LORD is in His holy palace;the LORD—His throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His gaze searches mankind.
5The LORD seeks out the righteous man,but loathes the wicked one who loves injustice.
6He will rain down upon the wicked blazing coals and sulfur;a scorching wind shall be their lot.
7For the LORD is righteous; He loves righteous deeds;the upright shall behold His face.
