The Tanach, with the evidence built in
This is the complete Hebrew Bible in the Jewish Publication Society translation. Wherever a real archaeological find bears on the text, those words are underlined in gold✦. Hover over them or tap them to see the artifact and what it confirms. From there, Next find takes you to the next underline, so you can tour a whole book’s evidence, and the share button turns the verse into an image.
Each chapter lists its finds under its title, and the chapter picker shows how many finds every book and chapter has. The AA button sets the text size, light or dark, and English, Hebrew, or the two together.
Psalm 47
1For the leader. Of the Korahites. A psalm.
2All you peoples, clap your hands,raise a joyous shout for God.
3For the LORD Most High is awesome,great king over all the earth;
4He subjects peoples to us,sets nations at our feet.
5He chose our heritage for us,the pride of Jacob whom He loved. Selah.
6God ascends midst acclamation;the LORD, to the blasts of the horn.
7Sing, O sing to God;sing, O sing to our king;
8for God is king over all the earth;sing a hymn.
9God reigns over the nations;God is seated on His holy throne.
10The great of the peoples are gathered together,the retinue of Abraham’s God;for the guardians of the earth belong to God;He is greatly exalted.
